“Pieces is basically a letter to those I love.

I’ve been back and forth in my head feeling like i’m falling into pieces,

with not much control of my life lately.

I wrote it in the thought of a suicide note, without the suicide.

I wanted to detail how I feel, and how I think others feel presently in my life.”

“Video wise, I figured my girlfriend, Kaylie, was the perfect person to film with.

She sees my highs and lows daily.”

“Location wise, I wanted to use places that actually meant something to me.

State college being my present area that I’m near,

I wanted to show the fun and happy side of life presently.

Then, The Millheim Hotel is a place that I frequently visit, and in

the town I grew up in as a child.”

“Lastly, Renovo was the perfect town for the dark scenes,

because I spent my older years growing up there back in high school.

I really had a lot of crazy traumatic things happen there,

that it felt almost needed to film the darker scenes there.“

“All in all, they all mean something to me deeply.

I don’t want “Pieces” to be viewed as me being suicidal,

but rather something to watch and listen to when I’m distant

trying to figure out life.”

Kristian Bennese, Director

Pieces captures the feelings of highs and lows of life. We’ve all had our sunshine and we’ve all had those long cold nights. This project is a closer look into who Kross is and was.
